The free assessment

Ask your own system. Free.

AIXray scores one system across nearly 100 checks. Red, amber, green, in plain English. It installs nothing, changes nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. You keep the full report — whatever you decide.

Two ways to run it. Pick one.

Option 1 · Talk to a person

Talk to Tanner first.

Twenty minutes with Tanner DeMaris, your contact at PowerTrue. You tell him what you're running and what's on your mind; he tells you what we do, how the flat fee works, and whether we're a fit. It is a conversation to find that out — not a technical deep-dive, and not a pitch.

  • Twenty minutes. Pick a time straight off the calendar. There is nothing to prepare.
  • A straight answer on fit. Including "you don't need us," when that is the answer.
  • What it would cost. Most people guess high. Ask, and you get the real number for your estate.

Where it goes from there: if we both think it is worth doing, we set up an AIXray run on a system you choose — AIX, VIOS, or Linux — and one of our engineers walks the findings with you. That gets booked separately, once we know it is worth your time.

No form, no newsletter, no drip sequence.

Option 2 · Self-serve

Or run it yourself. Download it free.

Prefer to look before you talk to anyone? Fair. AIXray is open source under Apache-2.0 and downloads straight from our public release — no email, no form, no gate. Your most cautious admin can read the code line by line before it runs.

  • Read-only, always. It observes and reports. It changes nothing.
  • No network calls. It runs where you put it and sends nothing anywhere.
  • Honest about gaps. Anything it couldn't read is listed as "not assessed," by name.
  • Minutes to a score. nearly 100 checks, 9 categories, one posture: red, amber, or green.

If the report raises questions, we'll walk it with you — free, no obligation. If it doesn't, you got a free health check. Either way works for us.

Then what?

The assessment is a snapshot of one machine. The managed service is the same rigor on every system, every month — patching, monitoring, verified backups, and a report a manager reads in ten minutes. The assessment shows you the depth on one system so you can judge what it's worth across all of them.

No pressure lives on this page. Plenty of people run AIXray, fix things themselves, and we never hear from them again. That's a fine outcome. The ones who call us do it because the report made the case on its own.
